The Engagement Pictures are in!

The wonderful H+M photo (Hali Boyles and Micah McNair) took some sweet engagement pictures of Stephen and I! Hali and I have been BFF since pre-school days. We were so blessed to have these two in our lives! Check out more of their amazing work at www.hmphotog.blogspot.com! Here is a preview of our first session!

I found THE dress :)

I think that is all I am allowed to say. Mom and Brittany made me sign a confidentiality agreement LOL

September has arrived!!! I cannot believe we only have nine months to go?! This past weekend my mom met with our planner Becky. We will meet again on the 25th, I can't wait :) From what it sounds like she has got it going on haha. She will handle everything for us...Talk about VIP :)
I got back from our managers meeting this past Thursday and went home on Saturday after the Auburn game. I hadn't seen Stephen in two weeks and my family in three weeks. I haven't done that in forever so I was super ready to get home as soon as I could! It was a quick trip since I had to get back on Sunday night. I am planning to go home tomorrow night since my day off this week is on Wednesday. It gets harder and harder every time I have to leave Stephen. I cannot wait until we don't have to say goodbye anymore.  But you know how the saying goes, "absence makes the heart grow fonder". Testify!
On a lighter note, we got to shoot some sweet engagement pictures with the awesome photographer duo, Hali and Micah! I cannot wait to how the first session turns out. Since the weather was bad we did most of them inside, but we will do more outside in a few weeks. So fun! Next highlight is dress shopping on the 17th!!!!

Talk to you soon,
Kimberly

Happy Birthday Stephen!

Today is my sweet Stephen's 19th Birthday! Thats right 1-9, I am not scared to admit it I am marrying a young man! haha We spent the weekend between Auburn and Birmingham, my old roommate got married on Saturday and then we went to Birmingham to visit with Stephanie and Ken (Stephen's mom and step-father) We had a blast! It was so good to see one set my future in-laws, we haven't seen them since we got engaged, so it was long overdue. Of course, we got to make some honeymoon plans with his mom! We are so excited and grateful that they are willing to do it for us! We are still working out details but we are leaning towards Sandals Grand St. Lucian!!!! WOW! We got to go to Church of the Highlands main campus, Grants Mill, with them on Sunday. When we are in Auburn we go to their satelite campus.  I also got to meet Ken's mother and family at dinner on Sunday night which was really special! We shopped of course! We picked out some sweet outfits for our engagement pixs. So by the end of the weekend Stephen was all shopped out. You know me, I never tire of shopping! We had lunch today at The Cheesecake Factory at the Summit to celebrate. The waiter saw the card I gave him and when Stephen went to the restroom, told me he would sing Happy Birthday to him. I knew Stephen would die but I could not resist! However, I am no good at surprises, so I gave him a heads up when he got back. He wasn't too happy but he made it through! We also ran into our friend Shelli, from home so that was a sweet treat since I wasn't able to go home this weekend. I wish I had pictures but they are all on Stephanie's camera so there will be a delay on the post for those.
We both were so sad to leave each other today, we always are but especially today. I am going to a manager's meeting this weekend, which just so happens to be on a cruise. I am so excited to meet all of the other managers and I have never been on a cruise so I think it will be awesome! I will miss him bunches and bunches though. I cannot believe we only have 278 more days!! Woah :)

Love,
Kimberly

Bridal Show!

This past weekend my mom and my matron of honor (Brittany C.) went to a bridal show in Gadsden. I won a chocolate table. Don't know if we are going to use it, but I do love winning! It was fun, I think we all realized how much we need to get done! It is just hard since we are not together all the time to brainstorm and plan. I think we got some direction from the show as to where we go from here.  The highlight though I must say was getting to see the venue for the first time..finally. It was BEAUTIFUL! I would post pictures but it doesn't do it near enough justice. The owner has a lot of plans to make some fabulous changes to make it even more incredible, but even as is it is perfect! I am beyond excited!
ONLY 285 DAYS TO GO!

Our Meet Cute

Stephen and I met at 6:32 (yes, that was the time and the name of the event). It was not much of a meet cute but I thought it made a catchy blog title :) 6:32 is a Bible Study at EaglePoint Church which Zack leads. (Zack is my brother in law) I was home for the summer, I had not fixed my hair and I was eating Taco Bell. Talk about a first impression-YIPES! We didn't really talk much to each other but afterwords he facebook friended me and we chatted for a little while. We planned to hang out later on that week. We went on a tennis date, I kicked butt, of course, then ate at Sonic. I hardly got a word in, he was SO chatty! After that we saw each other every day for the whole summer. When it came time for me to go back to school, we both knew we felt very strongly for each other. I remember the first time he told me he loved me, I hugged him and said "I love spending time with you too". Just kidding! I think I hugged him too. I had never told any one that before, so I was very cautious about it. I few days later I returned the sentiment, I have never been so scared! It is so true, the saying "when you know, you know". We couldn't be more certain of how we feel for each other, thank goodness!

These are some pictures from our first few months as a couple :)

Big Weekend!

This weekend if my graduation!! FINALLY! I can't believe my college career is finally over :) I remember when I first moved to Auburn how excited I was because I just knew I was going to meet my husband somewhere on that campus. Boy was I wrong! God had a different plan! I think in all the three years I spent in school I was asked on one date.... I never went on it! I am so grateful that the Lord kept me from the painful experience of heartache that many people have during these years. I am so blessed that He brought Stephen in to my life and heart! I have had a wonderful experience at Auburn and it looks like I will be sticking around for a bit longer. I will post pictures of the weekend! I hope I don't fall!

Invitation, compliments of Jenifer Parris!

The Latest

Stephen and I have been happily engaged for 2.5 weeks now! Haha We have set a date for May 26th 2012!! So we will have plenty of time to plan everything to make our special day perfect. That is about as far as we have gotten on the planning. Stephen is busy taking summer classes and I am getting ready to graduate in August. Mom said no official planning until after graduation haha She is ready to get me out of school! So we mainly just daydream and research, the fun stuff! Two months after we started dating I had to go back to school in Auburn and since I started my job at Private Gallery (best job in the world!) I don't get to go home as much. So we try to alternate weekends of who gets the drive. I absolutely cannot wait to be able to see each other everyday. I think right now that is what we are looking forward to most, not having to say goodbye as much. Technology makes it much easier though, thank goodness for Skype! We will continue to update as plans are made! We are so happy and looking forward to sharing with you this special time in our lives!

Engagement

Today was an awesome day for Kimberly and me. The first part of my engagement plan was to start the day by taking Kimberly to church. After the service at Eagle Point we made our way down to Oxford for lunch. I tried to make sure she would have no way of thinking that I was going to surprise her so I took her to Olive Garden, one of our usual spots. After we were through we went to "The Falls of Highland Lakes" where I asked her to marry me. We stood by a big water fountain that looked like it was a replica of an ancient fountain found in Greece. I gave her a coin and got her to close her eyes until I counted to ten. The funny thing about that was I didn't tell her to make a wish. I was nervous and forgot that part so I had to improvise by just asking her what she would wish for instead. She told me that she just wanted the rest of the day to go well. After that I smiled and got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
