Blog overload

I know I have already posts twice today...yipes but I have some great news to share! Stephen got an internship with Alabama Power!! Woohoooo! It has been his dream to work for this company since we met! Both of his parents work for AL Power and love it. He is so happy, its all he can talk about! His first day is September 11. The best part is...its PAID!!! Not many internships are this way so we got super lucky and hopefully it will lead to something permanent!

Happy 21st Birthday to Stephen!

Today is Stephen's 21st Birthday!!!! In our family, we do big birthdays so it was had to throw Stephen a surprise party for this big one! Mom and Shan were going out of town on Tuesday of this week (already left as I write this) so the only way we could pull the surprise together was if the party queen (mom) was up for it! She came up with the Superman theme, it was too cute and Stephen LOVED it! He was so surprised! Can I just say for the billionth time I ADORE my family?! They are my best friends. Not a lot of people can say that about their family but it is so true in ours! We had some sweet friends come celebrate Stephen at Java Jolt too! I love our community!

Last night we went to Longhorn, at Stephen's request, with the Casey's and Caroline and Dalton. We had a blast!! Here are some pictures of our surprise party and dinner!

Happenings

So we have had some busy few days as some of our family members on Stephen's side have had to under go surgeries. Stephen's dad had a heart cath last Tuesday--everything went well and no problems;  Stephanie's mom had surgery and is now recovering and will be doing some Chemo in a few weeks. Stephen had a visit to the doctor prior to all of this and they changed his medicine in hopes that his blood pressure will lower to a normal rate more quickly. So that has kept us occupied in Stephen's last few weeks of summer classes. He finished yesterday by the way :)) He is so happy to be so close to finishing school! Me too! We are so looking forward to moving into the next journey of our lives as he finds a post graduation job and we begin our house hunt. We are so blessed by this time we have together just us and are grateful for the incredible generosity of our families as we save for a home and our future! We love you all!

In other news, we are waiting on our Visa's to arrive as we are leaving in...4 short weeks!!  We have our trip completely paid for now! Hallelujah! We have been so humbled by the generosity of those in our family, small group, etc. who have given over and over in each fundraiser! We have been completely blown away! Now we are going to be able to help the Casey Family more as they are getting closer and closer to bringing the rest of their family home!!

Summer vacation

We had two trips to the beach this summer! Stephen worked and we had a girl trip to Panama City and then we went to Destin with Stephens mom. We had so much fun!! We went jet skiing and shark fishing while we were in Destin; two things I have never done in the ocean before! Stephen's tummy didn't like the fishing too much and the water was very choppy so we had a short trip out. Stephens brother, Ryan, caught a black tip fin (? Think that's the name) shark that was about 4 1/2 feet! Very exciting and kind of scary!

Making a Come Back!

Well that is my intent! Some cool things are happening in the Waters' family and I want to share them, well with my grandmom and anyone else who reads this ha! We have been in Jacksonville living with my parents for a around 8 months while we save save save for a home of our own! We have so loved living in the same town as our families! Watching the kiddos grow and being able to spend time with my sisters anytime I want is such a blessing! Stephen will finish up school in December! Cannot wait! His dream has been to work at Alabama Power so we are hoping he can get on at the branch in Anniston the first of next year.

In other news, we are going to East Asia at the end of August!! We are so thrilled to go meet up with some friends who live there and help them with their business! So we have been fundraising and saving for that trip and we almost have it all! We have been so blessed and extremely humbled by everyone who has given to help us go! Thank you thank you to everyone!
